Healing Bone Broth

A perfect source of collagen. Collagen is nourishing for your skin, hair, nails, and joints.

Recipe:

Prep and cook time: 12-24 hours

  • 5 pounds organic raw chicken bones, beef bones or bison bones

  • 2 Tbsp raw apple cider vinegar

  • 1/4 Tsp Celtic or pink salt

  • Vegetables of your choice, carrots, celery, onions, parsley, herbs and spices to taste, such as basil, oregano, and/ or cayenne.

Instructions:

Mix all ingredients in a slow cooker filled with water. Turn on low and cook for 12-24 hours. (This slow process draws the minerals out of the bones, making it pure medicine for immunity and gastrointestinal strengthening). After cooking, strain fat and solids and save the broth. Use broth for cooking grains, beans and soups, or you can just drink it from a mug.

*Ask your grocer for the chicken bones. Be sure to ask for the feet as well, since that is where collagen is found.
